VF Commissions TFRC members

Since working with VF Corp on the recent VF/TFRC Student Competition, several TFRC members have now been commissioned by VF to work on an exhibition for their Global Summit in March 2012 in the US.

Each year over 300 employees from all the brands that make up VF - including Lee, Wrangler, Northface and Vans - come together to network, brainstorm and find out the latest innovations within textiles/fashion.

The Summit in March will also include an exhibition, that covers six themes, with a curator working on each theme, creating a vision through garments and visual story-telling that reveal some of the latest ideas that designers and manufacturers are exploring.

Franklin Till, which is TFRC member Caroline Till's company, have been appointed as Creative Directors of the exhibition, and Becky Earley and Kay Politowicz (TED/CCW), have been chosen to curate the Sustainability theme. They are planning on commissioning several TFRC members to make new work for the exhibition as well as a range of international designers and artists.

All the curators recently met up in London including author Bradley Quinn, Sarah Braddock Clarke and Sabine Seymour.
