TED is looking for a new Research Assistant for the TED/MISTRA project


As part of the new MISTRA Future Fashion project, TED is looking for a new 0.4 Research Assistant (two days a week). The role will involve being an active member of the group, attending events and conferences, creating and maintaining contacts for the project, communicating research and representing TED.

TED is part of the University of the Arts London, a vibrant world centre for innovation, drawing together six Colleges with international reputations in art, design, fashion, communication and performing arts. For the application you should have experience in textiles research in sustainability, high organisational skills, excellent writing skills, an MA degree preferably in practice-based research, administrative experience, project managerial skills and enthusiasm. As a member of the research team, you would become part of a highly recognized research centre, while still being able to develop your own research. As a research assistant you would support the Project leader and members with writing and co-ordinating content for the TED/project website, writing regular research activity updates on the blogs, while taking care of the administration and research of relevant information related to the project. The project extends between the UK (TED group at Chelsea, CCW) and Sweden (MISTRA project partners) and requires a strong sense of coordination of research and designers' activities and documentation of progress. In addition the project involves student projects and external events.
